food fail!

Was it Monday today? It sure felt like it!

I woke up late this morning!!! I'm pretty sure I can count on one hand the number of times I have been late to work in the last 10 years. I just hate it. Anyway it wasn't a big deal to anyone but me, so on to the rest of my day- insanely busy day. I drank water on my rush to work this morning, but made the mistake of not eating... I finally got to grab a protien shake on my way to a meeting at 10:40. I ate a few pieces of celery and some orange bell pepper. Yummmm. Then a couple hours later I ate some salami and crackers (probably about 8 slices of meat and 8 crackers). I also drank two more bottles of water. Had another meeting to end my work day, drank a diet coke. Had a meeting after work and it was a meeting that had food. I ate one steak taco and a few tortilla chips and some rice. You must be thinking- food fail, really Jen? You didn't do that terribly today. Well there was one more thing at that meeting. C.A.K.E.. ugh. I had one H.U.G.E. piece. huge. After said huge serving of cake I committed to no more food for the night. FAIL. I ate chips and macaroni salad about a half hour after I got home (about 2 hours after cake). I now feel guilty and sick. I've had more water since getting home and well after the chips and macaroni salad incident.

I've already packed my running shoes for tomorrow... I'll be back on track with food too. oy.

  3. Isn't it funny how we can still want MORE food after a evening of indulgence? I think it is the carbs that trigger the cravings for more carbs.
