Musings....


I continue to workout regularly and I've also begun using my fitness pal to track my daily calories.  I'm doing pretty well with it.  I've lost 5 pounds in two weeks and I'm hoping by Monday weigh in I'll have lost a couple more.  My mom is visiting for the weekend so I have to control myself... I just have to remember that I could break into the 160's next week if I watch myself. I'm just recovering from the flu ( I rarely get sick and this is only the second time in my life I've had the flu) it was awful and I'm glad to be able to workout again.  I haven't been doing  a very good job of posting, but I'll keep trying and trying...

Today I am cutting this short because I'm headed out to meet with a friend to plan out which fun runs we are going to sign up for.... find some friends who will walk the journey with you, I have found that it makes all the difference.

Workout buddy... it's awesome to have friends to workout with... there is no way I'd drag my lazy but the the gym at 5:30 with out this gal cheering me on!
When I am lazy and don't get up and going at 0'dark thirty I still workout, this is a really fun one that I've been doing since last September. I seriously sweated it out on this one... Bob and Jillian have created a beast (me)! When I work out at home instead of with my gym buddy I always send an accountability photo...

 lol. yes. I love my fried food and I miss it.

 AMY W posted a little while back about her workout music, here is a little bit of my play list for the weight room and running. I usually skip the slower songs while working out and save them for my cool down and stretching....

  2. I made friends in my Monday and Friday spin classes and they expect me to show up. And my husband likes a spin class on Wednesday so he expects me to go with him. I'm doing well and I have so much more energy than before I lost weight. Keep up the good work.

  3. Workout buddies are totally the best. Although I was trying to be really tough and deadlift a ton of weights last Monday to impress Heather (but I am sleeping with my workout buddy so my motivation is a little different) and I hurt my damn back! That's what I get.
