it's about time...

for an update! Lots going on, I've been reading but not writing much... So here goes....

First the big question how much have I lost since my super awesome 1 year out update? zero. oops. not a surprise for me. I've lost my mojo a  bit lately. The good news is that I am not gaining for now. I'm trying to stay on track, but not gonna sugar coat it, I'm struggling. I really want to loose another 20 lbs. I know what to do and how to do it. I just am not doing it. It is totally my fault. I know I can do better. I will. At support group I committed to focusing on the things I am doing well- hopefully it will inspire me to do more of the good things.

So in the last month, I've been busy on my paddle board, on my bike and even a run or two. Unfortunately, during that time I also found out that my dog had cancer. It was only 3 weeks ago that we were told that Ruben, my border terrier, was in an advanced stage of lymphoma. I thought we would have more time but things progressed quickly and we had to say our goodbyes last week. It sucks. Our pets are our family. I really miss him.

I'm trying to focus, and I'll try to blog more. Some of the things I have accomplished in the last month or so are my first official paddle board race- OMG it was hard! At the end of the race we had some bad weather roll in and I was fighting some serious wind- it was 20-30 know wind and I wasn't sure if I was going to make it! I finished, I was the only girl to finish and there were two people behind me who did not finish. I've also finished two 5k's. I'm on track for my 14 events in 2014.

I'll leave the rest to be told in pictures, a mix of the last month of stuff, hope you enjoy!

me and my cousin, good times with our box of wine and yard sales!

a yard sale bargain, superman undies for 15 cents!

My handsome pup Ruben one week before we had to say goodbye... enjoying a walk on the beach of Puget Sound

 Can Do 5k, fun day!

I didn't do too bad, I haven't been training at all so I wasn't too disappointed with my finish, there were almost 1200 participants

Fiesta 5k. Ole! Fun run/walk with friends lots of festive costumes this weekend- I got lots of smiles and waves for mine too!

  1. I think it is the making goal thing. It's been such a far fetched goal for so long that when we get there...it's like thank goodness. Now I'm going to take a break. I relish in the fact that I'm not gaining any weight. LOL

You look great. How is Maria doing?

  3. Sorry about Ruben, hope he wasn't in too much pain at the end. </3

Glad to see you're just out there living life, though! Three events since the last blog? That's insane! Super jealous of the Superman undies...
