My most awesome husband got me a new paddleboard for my birthday so I've been out a few times on it, enjoying some peace and quiet when I can. I did an epic 11 mile paddle the weekend before last with my friend who also has a board- later I realized we almost paddled a half-marathon- whoa- it was awesome though! I'll be off soon to go paddling again with her this morning but we won't be going so far.
I had my 9 month/1 year follow up with my surgeon (my 9 month kept getting rescheduled so finally I got to see him just before my 1 year and he said no need for me to come back in just a few weeks). Dr. B. said I'm doing better than he expected with my weight loss, and that he is proud of me. He asked my if my goal is still 150, yes it is! I have 20 pounds to loose. He told me to take my time losing that 20 pounds and even if it takes me a year to loose it he would be really happy with my results, and actually even if I don't loose it he is happy with my results! I'm pretty sure I'll be able to keep losing, and my goal is another 10 by summer and then the last 10 during my really active months of summer (exercise really helps me stay on track and loose).
I did skip out on running the St Paddy's Day Dash this year- it was pouring buckets and I had been up at 3 am with a migraine. I do have a 5k next weekend to make up for missing that one and I'll still be on track for my 14 in 2014 goal.
so, I guess that is my big update for now. Hoping to see the 160's soon (I did see them for one day) and have it stick! I'll try to get a good video today and keep posting... you all inspire me more than you probably know!
So here are some recent photos from me :)
