Well back to work today, my drain came out yesterday (holy hell it hurt!). I was exhausted by the time I got home this afternoon, but my day went pretty well. I am behind 2 days on work, but should be able to catch up in the next couple of days or so.
My appointment went well yesterday with Dr. B. He said I am doing great and to keep it up! I promised him I would. My recovery has been smooth sailing and I feel like normal for the most part. I slept in my bed last night, it was difficult to get totally comfy, but I was so tired of sleeping on the couch or recliner! My tummy is still tender at times, I try not to rub it too much in public to avoid the pregnancy rumors, lol. I've told a few people that I work with about my spring break surgery shenanigans and they have been very supportive. I have clearance to get back to walking, but maybe another 2 weeks before I can get back to my running. I'm pretty sure all of my working out from January up to surgery was a big help in my recovery. I am now in puree stage for the next 5 days. I was able to eat refried beans with cheese and sour cream for dinner tonight and boy were they yummy! I was full after a few bites (amazing!) and I am still full now.
I am so glad that I did what it took to move forward with my sleeve sooner than later, yes I wish I could have saved it all myself and not had to cover part of it with a loan, but I am so glad that I am finally moving in a more positive and healthy direction! I feel so excited, eager, hopeful- and it has been a long time since I've really been anything but sad. I'm starting to feel like ME again! yay :)
So I will keep you all posted on my progress and now that I have something to post about it is very likely you will be hearing from me again on a more regular basis....
My Stats:
