I'll update in bullets, wish I had been taking some photos the last couple of weeks, but I've just been way too busy...
- back to school means back to work (real work, not just projects around the house and traveling), of course September is the busiest time of the year for me and we have a new principal this year so yeah. crazy busy.
- I've been good about exercise- I've gone swimming the last 6 out of 10 days. On Saturday morning we swam the long way across the lake which was just over 1 mile- in about 45 minutes! I feel more fit that ever, too bad the scale went up this week instead of down...
- speaking of the scale, it is the devil! I try to rationalize why it would go up when I have been so good about getting my protein in and exercising- I guess I'm just building up mass amounts of muscle! My arms are about 200 percent stronger than they ever have been. So cool, and I hope we can keep swimming for at least a couple more weeks before the water gets too cold.
- I'm doing a 5k in October, after the 5k I'm going to start increasing my miles to prep for the half marathon I signed up for in May
- I'm still trying to figure out a way to purchase a stand up paddleboard (SUP). They are a little spendy ($1000+) so I'll have to work on saving for it and hope to be out on the water with my own SUP in the spring.
- so completely excited about upcoming BOOBs get together in Chicago- I went looking for a dress today, found two that were super cute, but dang they were way too short! I'm an old lady, not going to be able to pull off the shorty short skirt! Hopefully I'll find something this week...

Wow, you are an exercise goddess!! Sorry your weight is giving you a bit of a hard time.
ReplyDeleteThis may sound crazy, but do you think exercise routine is making you super hungry? If so: maybe a visit to the nutritionist to talk about the best pre-post workout foods to nourish yourself would help.
I remember those days of working out so much... miss them. I hope I sort my place I go stuff out in a way that will give me more time to exercise in the end.

You inspire me to much with my swimming! I do believe you have to be building muscle, and it does weigh more. I know you know the right things to do, so I am confident that you will prevail.
