On Saturday I took my dog to an Earth Dog Trial, she passed her final leg of her Master Earth Dog test to earn a title this weekend, so now she can be known as:
Broken Ridge Madison, CGC, JE, SE, ME
so for all of you non-dog people the letters all stand for things she has accomplished. First- canine good citizen, not really a title but still an accomplishment, the next three are earthdog titles, junior, senior and master earthdog. I love my little pumpkin she is the best dog ever. Ican't believe she is going to be 10 years old in October!
I heart my punkin Madison!
The earthdog trial took pretty much all day on Saturday- when I got home Dave and I cruised over to the local burger joint where all the car guys get together on Saturday nights, we looked a a few cars before we headed over to the movie store to get a rental so we could just go home and veg.
Got up early this morning to do the Top Pot Doughnut 5k at Greenlake in Seattle. I have only run about 3 times this month- but my friend peer pressured me into joining her. I'm glad I did because I havd such a good time and the weather was perfect. After the 5k we did a couple of errands, had lunch and then I went into work for a couple of hours to get a few things done.
Here we are at the end! Of course at the end of the 5k they gave away free doughnuts- but the victory is that neither one of us ate it! Oh, yeah- my time was 38 minutes. not to shabby! My friend was done in 33- but look how much taller she is! ha, ha, just kidding, she has been running a lot and is in better shape than me.
This evening I attended a fundraiser dinner that was hosted by our PTA. A bunch of the teachers that I work with attended as well and it was really fun. Our PTA is fabulous and this fun dinner raised around $4,000 for our school!
I need to blog more, but it is getting late and I am super tired.
I have a fill tomorrow so I will definitely post more very soon!
Jen loves ya! :)

Congrats on Madison's accomplishments!
ReplyDeleteAlso to you too on your accomplishment of the 5k!
Great job on the 5k!
ReplyDeleteGlad you were pressured into the 5K. It was definitely perfect weather for it. I will let you know how the ankle is doing; I'm trying my best to stay off of it as much as possible today & we'll go from there. I did chat with our new "helper" and will be doing that post a little later today. :)
ReplyDeleteFancy Dog... all Esquired up, mine doesn't have any fancy letters but he's got our hearts... and he's spoiled rotten. I am so happy for you and Madison, but I would have ate that doughnut...LOL.
