Have you ever heard about trying to get a square peg into a round hole? This picture looks painful, but let me just say the feeling of food stuck in your esophogus is even worse. So yesterday I was running errands and I'd had only a protien shake and a couple of bites of cottage cheese for breakfast, as you might imagine, by about 1:30 I was really hungry. Kaylee and I decided to make a quick stop at Taco Bell (I know, I know) because I still had to drop her off and make it to my dr. appointment (no worries, just the yearly physical). I got a bean burrito and fresco taco. One big bite of my burrito and I was stuck. I didn't like it and I plan on never doing that again! I had to excuse myself to the restroom, my eyes were watering and I felt awful. Felt like I had a golf ball covered in razors stuck right in the middle of my chest!I was able to recover after a few minutes, so I ate the beans out of my burrito and the fresco taco. Guess now I don't have to wonder what getting stuck is like anymore. I hope this is my lesson learned- I do need to still work on chew, chew, chewing and S-L-O-W down!! The rest of my eating for the day went to crap- (not really bad things, just ate too much and had wine. oh, and a brownie. ugh). I'm about to hang with Lucy for the next 30 minutes....

I'm sorry you had this experience, but how else will you learn if you don't make a a mistake or two along the way, right? Now you know what to expect and how to avoid it. Great job on your WO, Jen!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI listen to a wide variety of stuff while working out. That is what is great about the iPod, you can change your music all the time.
