stuck!

Have you ever heard about trying to get a square peg into a round hole? This picture looks painful, but let me just say the feeling of food stuck in your esophogus is even worse. So yesterday I was running errands and I'd had only a protien shake and a couple of bites of cottage cheese for breakfast, as you might imagine, by about 1:30 I was really hungry. Kaylee and I decided to make a quick stop at Taco Bell (I know, I know) because I still had to drop her off and make it to my dr. appointment (no worries, just the yearly physical). I got a bean burrito and fresco taco. One big bite of my burrito and I was stuck. I didn't like it and I plan on never doing that again! I had to excuse myself to the restroom, my eyes were watering and I felt awful. Felt like I had a golf ball covered in razors stuck right in the middle of my chest!
I was able to recover after a few minutes, so I ate the beans out of my burrito and the fresco taco. Guess now I don't have to wonder what getting stuck is like anymore. I hope this is my lesson learned- I do need to still work on chew, chew, chewing and S-L-O-W down!! The rest of my eating for the day went to crap- (not really bad things, just ate too much and had wine. oh, and a brownie. ugh). I'm about to hang with Lucy for the next 30 minutes....
Finally upgraded my ipod shuffle (1st generation even) to a mini, 6gb. Just curious what you listen to when working out? This ipod will have plenty of space for music and my couch to 5k podcasts... still haven't gotten started on my training, now I have no excuses!

  1. I'm sorry you had this experience, but how else will you learn if you don't make a a mistake or two along the way, right? Now you know what to expect and how to avoid it. Great job on your WO, Jen!!! :)

  2. I listen to a wide variety of stuff while working out. That is what is great about the iPod, you can change your music all the time.
