remember when...

...you would panic because your just realized you had to go shopping for a new dress or clothing for an important work meeting? I do. I would try to remain optimistic knowing that it was going to be humiliating and frustrating to find something, anything that would work. Today I had to go shopping for a new outfit for an important meeting/political event. Initally I felt the heavy feeling, the dread, the worry that I  wouldn't find something that even looked just okay- believe you me, I've settled for something that simply looked just okay many a time.  Fast forward to today, I decided to start at Ross and then move on to Kohls, Marshalls and Macys as needed. I didn't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money. I walked into the store, sweaty palms and all- went straight to the dress section and found 6 dresses that I thought would work for the event.  I also found a pair of black slacks and a top that I liked. Now for the dreaded "fitting room".  Well it ended up not being all that dreadful! Everything fit-Yay! I got to chose the best of 6 outfits, not just settle for something that would work. I found not one but two dresses that I love!!! I could hardly believe it. Something that fit me, something that was way bettter than "just okay", and a super bargain to boot! So I have to say I haven't been super successful with my weight loss lately, but I am so thankful for my band and what it has helped me accomplish so far. I'm looking forward to even smaller sizes and more shopping soon- um, yes I just said I was looking forward to more shopping :) Awesome.

Now I just have to decide which one to wear tomorrow... hummmm- what do you think?
