New Orleans- 4th of July...

I'm in New Orleans! Any blogging friends in the area? I have no idea what to do for the 4th. I've heard there is a good park by the river, but I am here for a convention and not with people that I generally hang out with for fun (just work/business). I'd love to meet up with anyone who might be in the area... ? If no one is around here I would love to hear some suggestions on where to go for some fun on the 4th. I have meetings during the day, but will be out and about in the evening. The nice thing about this climate for me is that I really haven't felt like eating at all... I eat like two bites and I'm done. I don't know if it is the heat or the humidity but I have some super great restriction right now- I've been a little naughty with slider food (read: chips) but not really eating much of it when I do.

PS- I'll be here until the 8th... I would really love to meet anyone in the area! :o)
