...full of sadness, feeling a little empty inside, it only begins to describe how I am feeling about losing our friend Levi. What an incredible dog he has been to us. Fiercely loyal, protective, patient, loving, smart, cute, I could go on for some time- he was the kind of dog people would often say "I'd love to have a dog, but only if it was just like Levi". There is a big hole in our hearts that can't be filled. 
We will never forget him.

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss. We recently lost our Bonnie and I know your pain. I still think of her and miss her daily. But, just know that it does get easier to bear as time goes on. My heart goes out to you and your family.

ReplyDeleteI almost didnt read this bc I knew that I couldnt handle it and didnt want to cry at work. I have a dog too and he is my prince. He is 11 now and I can't imagine coming home and him not being there. The only thing that can help is knowing that he and you guys both gave each other the best life...ya know? I will be thinking about you.

ReplyDeleteThat breaks my heart. My dog drives me batty every day and sometimes I think things would be easier without her then I read something like this and realize how wonderful dogs are and how much I'd miss her. I'm so sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteRIP Levi. So sorry for your loss. I can't imagine losing either of my two boys, they are getting older and I just can't even begin to think about it. The pure joy and unconditional love of a dog cannot be underestimated. They really are the best friend anyone could have! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm just getting caught up with everyone's blog, but this is one of the first ones that I wanted to comment on. I know too well the pain of losing a pet and I do compare it losing an actual human loved one. Our pets give so much, love, compassion, forgiveness (and the list goes on), it's SO hard to grasp them being gone sometimes. Especially since their lives are much shorter than ours.

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry. I have a Queensland Heeler. (I am guessing Levi was a heeler by the looks) They are such awesome pets.
I know I say "wish I didn't have these dang animals" everyday but the truth is they are family.. So Sorry Jen :(
